Many years ago I made much use of the music section of the local library where you could borrow LPs and CDs for a small fee for a week or so. As a teen with limited pocket money of course I taped everything I could get my hands on. It got me into various bands I wouldn't have listened to otherwise, often based on the sleeve design. One of those albums was Canterbury by Diamond Head. My tapes are mostly long gone and I have bought lots of music since then.
I just found the album as a playlist on Youtube. I didn't see it on Spotify. I've been listening for the first time in maybe 25 years and it still sounds familiar. They were originally more of a metal band, but this is definitely more prog. Strong elements of early Queen, who were one of my favourites back then.
The band have come and gone, but are apparently still going. I've not checked out their other albums, but I ought to. I was aware that a band of that name was around, but wasn't sure if it was the same people.
The internet gives us access to just about any music. I guess the record library is redundant. I do browse the charity shops for CDs, but it's fairly rare to find anything interesting.
Rock on!
