I think our brains are hard wired to be pattern detecting devices by nature. One my my favourite things as a gluttonous music consumer is detecting samples used by a band I dig by another musical group I'm into.
In this instance I discovered that the Nine "Fo'eva Blunted" track samples the Galt MacDermot "Stockyard" track from his album "In Film 1969-1973".
