I have a long history with Chaika’s music. From an early gig of theirs providing my very first opening slot with a throw together band, to their luscious harmonies accompanying my journey up and down the east coast on my musical adventures, they’ve shaped my idea of how music can sound and arranged. Not quite classical, not quite folk, not quite jazz, but somehow quintessentially all of them, Chaika truely are beyond genre.
The group recently released their 3rd album Arrow. Not only is this album stunningly composed, the flow of the tracks has been masterfully put together. Once the first track materialises, you can expect to be lead on an aural journey exploring the potential of their instrumental and compositional skill.
