In the 80s, my parents listened to The Hollies a lot, so I grew up with them. The Air That I Breath was one of my favorite songs by them, although I much preferred Simply Red's version. I don't get bored listening to this song until today, and I am in my 40s.
In 1992, I fell in love with Creep by Radiohead and I've been a fan ever since. Corresponding with the band, going to their concert, and just loving them 😁
Fast forward to a couple of years back, the net was trending with legal issues between Radiohead vs The Hollies of similarities, between Creep and The Air That I Breath.
Growing up with The Hollies, I couldn't catch the similarities to the most song I love, Creep. But since this legal issue was so big, I love both bands, I opened my ears for once 😂
Radiohead agreed to pay 40% and give credit to The Hollies
Please listen to this video and see. I have to mention, only on this mash up I could finally hear the resemblance. Not while listening Creep itself or The Air I Breath alone.
Now today, Lana Del Rey, came out with this song. Kaaaabooommmm (yes I love that term 😂). The fu**!
Totally exactly sounds like Creep.
Radiohead demands 100% of the publishing, she offered 40% as she said she isn't inspired by it at all (if so why would you offer in anyway then????). Now they will both go to court.
Lady, it's 100% sounds like Creep.
If an itsy bitsy sound of The Air I Breath really is in Creep and they are appreciated already and mentioned as inspiration, yours is super duper sounds like Creep. If you don't want to give 100% to Radiohead, what if The Hollies go after you too 😂 Double trouble you'll be in.
Or are my ears as clogged as other people's, so we heard wrong? 🤔
