Holiday season disrupted my momentum in the album countdown series but EYE AM BAK !!!
In position #93 is the album titled Third Stage from the US act Boston. Released in September of 1986 this album made it to the top of the US charts and remained there for four weeks.
The album was released 8 years after their previous album Don’t Look Back and was only the bands third album despite being together for more than a decade. In fact, only two of the original band members Brad Delp and Tom Scholtz remained, Delp being the voice and Scholtz the songwriter.
Amanda
Amanda was the first US Single for the band.
How the hell did this insipid number top the charts? The chick in the video is hot???
The album sales topped 4.1 million and had three Top 40 single hits, Amanda, We’re Ready and Cant’cha Say.
We’re Ready
This single reflects the Boston sound of old but to my mind the creativity of old was lost and the band did not evolve at all from their roots.
I am using my editors discretion to stop at only two tracks as to my mind this is really boring music (I loved their first album) and I do not want to bore my gazillion readers.
