Rouen, Normandie, France - 7 May, 2018
While making our way back to Berlin from Bretagne, we made a three day stop in Normandie. While visiting friends in Rouen, we decided to make a little "Trouble" tourist day walking around the city looking for the best places to film videos and ultimately make some street music. That's when we stumbled upon the Aitre St. Maclou....
Ornate with macabre carvings of skulls and bones, the Aitre St. Maclous became a burial site for the thousands of victims of the "Black Death" (plague) which wiped out 3/4 of the population of Normandie in the 14th century. From the moment you step foot in the courtyard, you can sense an eerie energy that settles in the air. Something about that place brought us a bit of inspiration, and made us of our song "Ghosts of the Red Sand", a dance of the dead written as a dedication to the innocent victims of conflict in the sands of our world.
You can listen to the studio version of this song on our album, "Lose Your Ties". https://lnk.to/TTN_LoseYourTies
