As part of ‘s #metalweekend theme I’d like to share 3 metal albums that I’ve listened to this week.
Sphinctour(live) by Ministry.
This album is actually a live one (it’s also a kick ass DVD)with tracks taken from the bands iconic “Sphinc-Tour” in 1996 it features some of there greatest works flawlessly performed live . Arguably some of the tracks on this live album sound better and more energy filled than on the original studio recorded albums.
Killing with a smile by Parkway Drive.
This in my opinion is probably the best album released by Parkway Drive. Released in 2005 and produced by Adam Dutkiewicz of Killswitch Engage this album really defined the hardcore/metalcore sound with its infectious guitar riffs ,earth shattering breakdowns and blast beats with vocals that could practically raise the dead. This album ain’t for the faint of heart.
Thornography by Cradle Of Filth.
I think Cradle Of filth is one of those bands you either love or hate (even for metal music lovers) this album in particular trails after (probably) they’re most popular release “Nymphetamine” (which is also a cracker album) and picks up right where it left off. Released in 2006 this up tempo album has some elements of black metal, thrash metal and death metal all beautiful packaged together with a rocky vibe that never fails to get my foot tapping.
If your a fan of heavy music I encourage you to give these albums ago!
If you’ve heard or love any of these albums like I do let me know what your favourite tracks are!
