Artist Spotlight series will focus on individual artist spanning every type of genre. I want to focus on smaller, indie or underground artist. This week we focus on the independent artist, Bones.
Bones has been in the underground rap scene for many years, getting props from many big name artist but still staying under the radar. His sound is drenched in deep sub bass, slow synth lines and hardcore influences that make its way into tracks from time to time. Bones has a growing fan base and has carved his own path.
: Glad We Have A Understanding :
This track mixes his hardcore influences with dark trap vibes. Bones always mixes with rock/rap in a really fresh and unique way.
: Blastzone :
Blastzone is fast and furious. Mixing industrial synth lines with rock and trap vibes. Bones can mix many genres into one sound.
: Taking Out The Trash :
Taking out the trash feels like a direct message to the typical modern trap artist but done in typical Bones fashion.
: Rest In Pieces :
Rest in Pieces in another rock/rap mix done in a way I've never really heard before, very unique and raw.
The slower and more emotion side of Bones sound. He uses modern tech terms to describe the ending of a relationship.
: System Preferences :
This sound is very modern and very typical of radio "bangers" but have lyrics which are signature bones.
: Art of Cremation :
One of my favorite Bones tracks. I sense he's talking about fans who feel he's changed or sold out. One of the longer and gritty bones songs.
Bones has grown into one of my favorite modern trap artist. I'm happy that I can be almost 40 and still be finding modern music I can enjoy. I'll share many other artist from various genres in the future so keep a ear out. Thank you to ANYONE who supports my work in any way, it means a lot.
Till next time, stay creative
