French Acid Trance God
My official Monday Trance post is covering one of the DJs I got to know in the early 90ies - as most of the good ones. However I was not aware he is from France to date - always did link him to Belgium, no idea why. He had two Tracks that made me crazy on the dance floor and behind the decks.
Emmanuel Top published his Tunes on his own record label, Attack Records. His 1994 release "Turkish Bazaar" contained warped, looping vocal lyrics from an original performance of The Door using the voice of Jim Morrison adding a great sweeping acid bass line.
In the same year he published my personal favourite called "Acid Phase" which marks a real classical acid trance track that belongs in every DJ set and is probably one of the best electronic music pieces ever produced. My contribution for Monday Trance. Later 1996 Emmanuel was also part of B.B.E. who had some chart breakers with "Seven Days and One Week" and "Flash" - some good music but I prefer his original work from 1994 most.
