For the Young Ones here - that was way before the Internet was invented - no blockchain in sight these days too! She used music as highway to our hearts - and the music was not that bad. Kim Wilde was coming into my heart with a bang - she left the music industry to take care of family, gardens and nature -but she came back to join the famous Nena from Germany.

Kim Wilde (born Kim Smith; 18 November 1960) is an English pop singer, author, DJ and television presenter who burst onto the music scene in 1981 with her debut single "Kids in America", which reached number two in the UK. In 1983, she received the Brit Award for Best British Female solo artist.[2] In 1986, she had a UK number two hit with her version of the Supremes' song "You Keep Me Hangin' On", which also went on to be a major US hit, topping the charts there in 1987. Between 1981 and 1996, she had 25 singles reach the Top 50 of the UK singles chart. Her other hits include "Chequered Love" (1981), "You Came" (1988) and "Never Trust a Stranger" (1988). In 2003, she collaborated with Nena on the song "Anyplace, Anywhere, Anytime", which topped the Dutch charts.
Worldwide, she has sold over 10 million albums and 20 million singles. Starting in 1998, while still active in music, she has branched into an alternative career as a landscape gardener.

Wer in meinem Alter ist mag es nachvollziehen - sie war die heisseste Frau der Musik Industrie in the 80ern - Musik war auch stark, hier war ihr Bruder primär zuständig was Sounds und Kompositionen anging, Kim hat sich irgendwann verabschiedet ins Privatleben - ich sag nur Familie und Garten - sie kam zurück um mit Nena es noch mal krachen zu lassen, zwei ältere Damen, die aber heisser sind als viele der jungen Girls. Kim Wilde geboren als Kimberly Smith, 1960 in Chiswick, West-London ist eine britische Popsängerin. Sie ist das älteste Kind des Rock-’n’-Roll-Sängers Marty Wilde, dessen Künstlernamen sie übernommen hat.
Kim Wilde war mit Hits wie Kids in America, Cambodia, You Keep Me Hangin’ On oder You Came vor allem zwischen 1981 und 1988 international erfolgreich. Ab 1997 trat sie unter anderem als Landschaftsgärtnerin in britischen Fernsehsendungen auf und war als Autorin für Zeitungskolumnen tätig.
Seit 2006 widmet Wilde sich wieder vorwiegend ihrer Musikkarriere und konnte seitdem teilweise an alte Erfolge anknüpfen.
