Hello Steemians, I just have to share these with you because it's now a burden to me. I'm talking bout the music industry in Nigeria in respect to the Gospel and to the Secular music world. A little comparison will do;
(1) LOVE
We all know from our bible that God is Love and without him there's no love.
In the Gospel Music World, everybody think of his/her career and ignore the ones around them. They just wanna get to the top alone. I'm not against them but they aren't helping the upcoming artists.
Can you mention any renowned gospel artist who had successors under him/her or someone they are nurturing to be a star that you've heard of?
I really don't know but I think only a few does that, if there's any at all.
But I can mention a lot of such artist in the Secular Music World, the likes of;
Don Jazzy(Reekado Banks, Korede Bello, Dija and more)
Banky W(Wizkid, Skales, Shaydee, Niyola)
Olamide( Lil Kesh, Viktoh and more)
I'd stop here but there are lots more even the successors are now bosses on their own, still nurturing young talents.
Now, with these LOVE shown by the Circular artiste to nurture upcoming stars, which party do you think will grow faster?
⏩IN EVERY GATHERING WHERE THERE'S NO TRUE LOVE, NEITHER TRUST NOR CARE WILL DWELL AMONGST THEM COMPLETELY.
(2) CONSISTENCY AND PASSION FOR MORE
I really admire the Gospel Artiste in Nigeria, the likes of Frank Edwards, Eben, Nathaniel Bassey, Preye, Kaydee Numbere, Timi Dakolu and lots more!
I love their works! More grace for the race though. I'll be excited if they continue this work to the end and also have people to take over them when their time is out.
⏩NOBODY STAYS FOREVER, EVERYONE HAVE AN ABSOLUTE REPLACEMENT.
Now, let's checkmate the secular world. There's alot of competition among them in consistency and passion for more. Everybody here knows they won't last forever so they try as much as possible to keep their star shining and help nurture the young talents. In this category I got love and respect for these two fellows, WizKid and Davido!
They're taking the African music far and wide.
Just some few days back at the Wizkid's Concert, Grace found a random child named Ahmed. WizKid picked up an unknown lad from the pressing crowd and asked him few questions and then Ahmed decided to impress WizKid with his freestyle. WizKid, now filled with joy and excitement said to the boy in the presence of the crowd, "Ahmed from today, I sign you to Starboy Music with the sum of 10million Naira. I'll give to you everything you want."
That act gladens my heart and some other artiste in the industry has done similar things as well.
Which party do you think will interest the young talents when coming up with music dreams?
I'll stop here but believe me you that I'm not criticising the gospel music because I happen to be one of them young talent in the gospel world. Initially, I wasn't here. I was in the secular music world alongside my brother and friends. Unfortunately, I can see myself not fitting in this secular world so I just have to make a U-turn to the Gospel world. Yes, it's never an easy task to come out of the crowd without steady financial support and the rest of them. I'm not gonna quit yet, it's Jesus or nothing!. My brethren in the other world are doing their best and they're having the support they're craving for as the day goes by. My lil bro have been linked with an excellent producer named Jaypizzle. The producer of;
SHAKE BODY ➡ Skales
BANANA ➡ Slyde
MAKE AM ➡ Patoranking and lots more!
And lots of work is already ongoing!
⏩My point here is that the young talents are deviating from the gospel world because of the happenings here and there. There's not enough love shown in the gospel world to keep them firm and bonded. Simi wasn't shown enough support in the gospel world yet she was embraced in the secular world. A lot of them famous artiste deviated from the gospel world and they're still shinning in the circular world because of love.
Please as I share these information with you, with your support in growing gospel young talents. Kindly, hashtag #ShowLoveToGospelYoungTalents.
and I'll be happy not for me alone but for others in same race and the incoming generations and so on and so forth, Thank You!
