Hello from Romania, fellow HIVE users, classic rock and folk rock fans (especially Simon & Garfunkel fans out there) as well as dear readers both on and outside of HIVE! For today's musical recommendation on my behalf to you, I decided to share a great and most favourite song of mine by the legendary American folk rock duo Simon & Garfunkel, more specifically the touching piece 'Bridge Over Trouble Water' which was released on the namesake studio album from 1970 (which was the fifth and last one released by the two together).
'Bridge Over Trouble Water' is the very first song on the album and has been a sturdy favourite of mine from the entire discography of Simon & Garfunkel for many, many years (though I'm not that old, I assure you, hehe).
It brings me lonesome and bittersweet memories from the time I was an away bachelor student in Aalborg, reminiscing about a rather perilous road that I had to take to go to an examination during the first semester there (late 2017 to be more precise) when I literally passed on a bridge over trouble water (the one linking Aalborg to Nørresundby) on a rainy, cold, and very windy autumn day. Fortunately, I arrived well at the examination hall.

I felt quite lonely there as a foreigner, but, very much luckily for me, Simon & Garfunkel were always there for me when I needed good quality company the most, with a series of most beloved songs that made my life there more bearable and beautiful. I am forever grateful for their music and how it changed my life there, as I used to spend evenings listening to their songs in my student dorm room whenever I got back from university (I distinctly recall a recovery period after a series of physical illnesses in the autumn of 2018 when I listened extensively to them after I recovered). Art Garfunkel and Paul Simon are true musical geniuses (very much fortunately still among us as of June 2022) and definitely fantastic and great men! Role models to look up to in the music business for certain, that's what I truly think!
Therefore, that being said and without any further needless ado or unwanted spoilers on my behalf, I wholeheartedly recommend integrally listening to 'Bridge Over Trouble Water' by Simon & Garfunkel down below. Enjoy!
