A tender kiss
The lingering hand against my face, begins to trace
Explore my heart, a whispered start
In my dream last night
Somehow
The words slipped out
Beyond my reach
Again
I lost the sun
To the musings of tomorrow
Wish I may
Wish I might
Have that dream
Again tonight
This picture is dedicated to #TuesdayOrange #ColorChallenge by @Kalemandra who colors my world every day.
Leaning on the doorway, the entrance for which
Waiting for my heart to separate
Reality from not
Yes, it may. Yes, it may.
Say you’ll be mine
Say you’ll be mine
When the sun shines, one of the times
You can see, I’ll never be free
Until that time
Until that time
Say you’ll be mine
Happiness divided by two is multiplied.
Whispered words lay
Holding them safe
Waiting for
When the time is right
Again
Reflected from a greater source
Reach for the moon, hang on to the stars
But always remember your roots
Advice from my tree
And just like that, these musings are done. I want to thank you for allowing me to muse along... and just so you know, there is always a muse or three left in my heart. Have a most fabulous day!
i cried the way women on tv do
folding at the middle
like a five pound note.
i called the boy who use to love me
tried to ‘okay’ my voice
i said hello
he said warsan, what’s wrong, what’s happened?
and these are what my prayers look like;
dear god
i come from two countries
one is thirsty
the other is on fire
both need water.
i held an atlas in my lap
ran my fingers across the whole world
and whispered,
"where does it hurt?"
it answered,
"everywhere"
"everywhere"
