The year has almost come to an end. The festive period is here. To me if a festive period does not include giving then it is not complete for me

Well I like giving. That has always been me because I believe that is the only way one can also receive. 
Though I am not rich and I can't not say that I am completely poor. In fact I need financial help I even lost 40sbd in a period of two weeks but that will not stop me from giving.
If we decided to close our palm tightly and not want to give, what if someone wants to put something in that palm, how are we going to receive it?
