Hi Steemians
2017 was an amazing year for me. I just began my studies of electrical engineering at the end of 2016 and was ready for the year 2017. The studies meant a lot of work, but also a lot of free time and a lot of fun with new friends. There were very funny as also very complicated moments this year that I mastered.
So I will begin with what I achieved in this year 2017:
- I passed all my nine exams I had this during my studies and am still motivated to continue. It wasn’t easy all the time, one exams I burly passed with exactly 8/30 points what was exactly the minimum of points to pass. But I made it and several of my other friends too and even the once who didn’t made it (and will have the chance to write them again ½ a year later) where still ready for a party afterwards.
I also joined Steemit this year because of
who showed me this amazing platform during a family meetup. He was just writing this post here and I ask him what he was doing, then he told me about Steemit and that you can earn money by just posting things you like. Since I wasn’t on any big social media platform, because I found it useless and didn’t wanted FB or co. to make money on my bag, I decided to join Steemit. I read a lot of post here on Steemit and in the steemit.chat and was waiting to get approved what happened then 1 week later.
I was very active in the German community on steemit.chat and also then discovered the Whaleshares project from
when I won one of there contest. I got several Whaleshares really quickly and they made my introduceyourself post climb already really high on the reward scale. Through my activity in the German community I also got an amazing delegation from
to reach the 500 SP needed to get the slider for the upvotes. But what I really discovered in Whaleshares and in the German steemit.chat room was the amazing community that let me stay here on Steemit.
- This amazing community helped me also to become an
curator, probably my biggest achievement here on Steemit, where I met so many so amazing people that includes
,
,
,
and many many more. It is just a wonderful task to do here on Steemit, search through all this content, read amazing and awful post and then to reward the good once with a nomination.
- I also later met
on Steemit who had the amazing project in mind to create
where I tried to help him. This project later become the francosteemvote discord sever (also with the help of
if I remember right) that is now the central piece of the French community.
- Another thing that I achieved this year that isn’t related to Steemit is that I went to a holiday camp as a monitor. This was so funny even if it mean some work and not much sleep, do to the fact that the other monitor were friends of mine and that I even knew some of the children’s that came with us.
And so we come to the failures:
I didn’t had the chance to go on holidays very often this year because of exams. I first missed a trip with my cousin to Bangkok and then the second time I missed one with my family to New Caledonia. I was very sad about this, but at least I passed the exams I wrote during this time.
Another thing I would consider as a failure would be that I became really lazy and didn’t got a side job earlier to use all my free time on I now have during the lecture time.
I also consider it as a failure that I only now at the end of the year invested in cryptos and not earlier, it would have made me even more money.
Conclusion:
If I look back on all I made this year I have to say that this was just amazing and that if 2018 would continue this way it would be great. I am also very confident and dedicated to continue my studies next year and also make a semester in another country, but this is not completely sure now. I also already planned to make more holidays next year, so you will probably also see some beautiful travel post from me in the future.
