Hello steemers, I want to share a my typical day at the firehouse. A few days ago i saw post from starting a new hashtag #mydayinphotos. I thought it was a cool idea and wanted to give it a try.
This is what happened to me yesterday. When i show up to work in the morning i need to check out all of my equipment. The fire truck is my life line. I have mostly what i need to handle most calls.
Here is my office.
The day started off well then some weather came in with this cold front. Here in southern Louisiana we don't get snow with cold fronts, we get rain. With the wind and weather a call out. We were dispatched to a transformer fire.
Who says you can't have a fire in the rain. lol
After we extinguish the fire, then we put the truck back in service. Once we return to the station, it's time to clean and return equipment to the truck.
Here are some S.C.B.A. air masks. S.C.B.A. stand for self contained breathing apparatus we breath with while fighting fires. These were taken out of service for repairs.
Perfect meme for my career.
Being so busy normally we get one good hot sit down meal. Yesterdays menu was Hamburger steaks, mashed potatoes "With a storm symbol for the day", and green beans. It hit the spot.
After a hard 12 hour shift, usually i get off. Check the mail then get some rest.
Yes got a package in.
Now for some rest. Will show y'all what i received later. Hope you enjoyed. Thanks for stopping by and viewing. A proud member of the #steemsilvergold community.
