Nice to meet you!π
Hello, Hive community! You might be wondering why Joyceful. Well, I thought of the simple life from my childhood, and the word "joyful" really fits what I have been since. By the way, I am Jessa Joyce Molina from the known city of guns in Cebu City, Philippines - Danao City. A graduate of Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering. I have lived in this beautiful world for 26 years, and the eldest daughter with four siblings. So technically, "Joyceful" comes from the combined word "joyful" and my second name "Joyce."
I have many interests - from a person who has many things in mind like cooking, baking, dancing, singing (?)haha, and watching movies/animes. Ugh! I cannot wait to share these things with you all! Are you ready to rumble? (prolonged like Michael Buffer version)
Let's start!
This picture was taken with my cousins and late grandparents. Can you guess where I am in the picture? πWhen we were kids, we used to be taken care of by our grandparents because our parents are out working. Grandfather or βloloβ as we call them in the Tagalog language, always lets us sleep from 1 pm-3 pm as they believe that it will help us grow faster. I thought then that taking a nap daily in the afternoon was very a buzz kill because we wanted to play all day under the sun. So, we would run from our grandpa around the compound because we hated to take a nap while he would carry a bamboo stick used to snap us.HAHA He would feed us one by one with a porridge seasoned with sour fish soup after we took the 2-hour nap. It makes me smile when I think of these things because they completed my childhood.
The classic songs from Carpenters, Queen, Bee Gees, Eagles, to my all-time favorite, watching Snow White, Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, Pocahontas, Mulan, Peter Pan, Alladin, etc. (I have been finding classic copies of these movies because I want to share those with my future kids.) The fairy tale feeling and their songs make my heart flutter always. I am a classic type of girl, I can say.
A plantita (a Tagalog word for a person who loves to plant/plant) and an active TikTok user/dancer. HAHA, I can still remember when I was in high school when I joined the Sinulog Festival β a famous festival in Cebu that celebrated every year when a photographer took a picture of me while dancing with my mouth wide open. My teacher in MAPEH (a physical education subject) then said to me that I am one of the reasons we placed in the contest because of my face full of expressions. Well, who would have thought? π€£ That wacky face got a chance to be recognized and motivated her present self to express herself through dancing. But please note that I am not a professional dancer haha. I love to dance β my way of exercising when I have the time also (really? π )
With those aspirations and activities, I am a full-time daughter and a demand planner in a food manufacturing company at the same time.
Working for almost five years in the demand industry is very challenging, but I am thankful that I have found my second family β the Demand Planning Family with those challenges. We are a section of 5 members who work very hard to monitor 12 depots across the Philippines closely. Isn't it amazing? That is why I like to call my team the "Super Team!"
The B.I. Team (Business Information Team) is our family also - that makes us as an extended family. Though we are 32 kilometers away (from the company plant to the remote head office), we always try to connect amidst the pandemic.
I am a fur parent.
I believe I got this from my family who loves animals - from dogs, cats, pigs, pigeons, and chickens; it runs in the bloodline, I guess. That makes us a huge family. Perhaps I can share with you Akira and Bali's story soon. π
One of the things that I love is to travel places. Who wouldn't want to travel, right? I believe traveling is learning new things. It is like a remedy for all the stress and pressure from what's keeping you stressed and pressured in life.
I have my list of places to visit, and I cannot wait to share those travels in my future blogs. I would like to combine my love of food when traveling also. Let us travel, eat and enjoy our journeys together!
So, that's it! That is my story. We are now recovering from the recent super typhoon Odette especially here in Cebu. I am glad that we are safe and sound with my family.
I would like to extend my deepest gratitude to my mother at work, - for introducing Hive/PeakD to me and letting me express my thoughts through this very optimistic community. Also the support from
and
for helping me especially with the codes. π
(I can do this!) Thank you so much, guys!
I am looking forward to meeting you all and being part of my JOYCEful adventures! See you in my next blog!
