Heard this unusual cry this afternoon while on our back deck. Thinking at first it was a cat, then it sounded strange and repeated every few seconds.
I looked around, and about 75 yards from the house there was the mama deer and a sibling worrying over this young fawn that had become trapped in an old fence.
I was able to put the wire cutters to use and then free the fawn that went happily on it's way. Mama never got more than 10 feet away until she was free!
I then proceeded to trim away the entire section of fence, leaving a nice wide opening for them to travel through in the future without jumping or risk of becoming trapped. If you have old fences around your property, please consider doing the same! Resteem, Vote, and comment if you agree!
