The fishing has been slow at the local ponds lately.
I went out for a bit last evening and was happy to catch this little guy.

My fishing partner. ;) This photo is from a few days ago. We had one fish on shortly and lost it. We enjoyed the warm sunny day anyway!
Part of that enjoyment was seeing this heron.
And catching this sculpin. I was kind of surprised to see him on the end of my line.
I still think the water is too cold and muddy at the local ponds but I am holding out hope for good weather and fishing at one of our favorite lakes this Saturday.
