Whether we like it or not, advertising has a huge impact on us. Thanks to commercial shampoos, we have developed misconceptions about this product. We decided to debunk some myths about shampoos that are often heard on television.
MYTH 1. TO WASH MY HAIR EVERY DAY IS VERY HARMFUL
Actually, to wash my hair every day. However, you need to select a shampoo labeled "for daily use". The composition of these shampoos contains special moisturizing ingredients, such as silicone, Shea butter or panthenol.
Oily hair can be washed more often, but the normal hair better to wash as dirt. And one more observation: the hair harm is not so much frequent washing much drying.
MYTH 2. IF THE SHAMPOO FOAMS WELL, SO HE'S GOOD
It is not an indicator of a good shampoo! So, many therapeutic shampoos foams bad, but at the same time, they are well affect the condition of your hair. The ability of a shampoo to foam, is not determined by beneficial ingredients for hair and surface-active substances (surfactants) creating the foam.
MYTH 3. ENSURE THAT THE HAIR IS HEALTHY, SHAMPOO NEED TO FREQUENTLY CHANGE
This is partly true. However, it all depends on your hair type. In some cases, indeed, the shampoo needs to change, because long-term use of the same tools may worsen the appearance of the hair. In this case, it may be advisable to purchase 2-3 shampoos and from time to time to alternate. But again note that this principle does not always work: and shampoo you can use for years without damage to their hair.
MYTH 4. SHAMPOO "TWO IN ONE" EFFECT IS NOT WORSE THAN SHAMPOO AND CONDITIONER
That's not true, because shampoo and conditioner have different pH level, so mixing them is not recommended. In this regard, experts recommend the use of shampoos and conditioners separately.
Note that air conditioning is not only essential for easy combing hair, but also to neutralize the alkaline effects of shampoos.
MYTH 5. SHAMPOO NEED TO KEEP THE HAIR AS LONG AS POSSIBLE
This is not so. Detergents (surfactants) that remove the dirt and cause the appearance of foam, fairly aggressive for the scalp. Therefore, to keep the shampoo on your head is not recommended for longer than 2-3 minutes. Before applying shampoo on your hair, it is recommended to RUB it into your palms, then apply evenly to the head.
MYTH 6. SHAMPOO FOR OILY HAIR CAN BE USED FOR ALL HAIR TYPES
It is not, because the shampoos for oily hair are some of the features. In particular, in such shampoos with a high pH (6 or above). Their use may cause side effect is dryness of the hair, after which they are cut.
After applying the shampoo recommended to use conditioners, conditioners and special masks.
Shampoo for normal, dry or colored hair has a neutral pH, so after use use rinses and conditioners do not have.
