I am Broken in and out.
Sometimes life does not give you what you expected from it. It gets worse when you feel you should be rewarded for some sacrifices or inputs. Life breaks us. Yes, it does. It comes with sadness, bitterness or regrets. But it comes with unexpected positive outcomes too.
A lot of people experience major breakthroughs when they least expected it. We get kind acts from strangers or people we never expected it from, that breaks us too. Yes it does. It makes us better humans.
We get betrayed and abandoned by the ones we have sacrificed so much for. That breaks us.
We offer ourselves to a course or a system and never get appreciated for it. That breaks us. Oh yes, someone might want to say, expect nothing, but that's a surface statement. "Every human longs for the soul food".
The soul food? What does that really mean?...
The soul or mind is a component of the human being that requires its own food and exercises to keep it healthy and alive. The soul food can be classified as those things that make the soul feel good. For example, each time we hear things like, "thank you", "I appreciate you", "you look good", "I am sorry" etc, you feel good deep down, that is because the soul was fed.
Regardless of some people denying this fact, we all need the soul food. We all want to be told those words. Our hearts yearn for it and that's the reason some words as simple as Thank You or Sorry could be so powerful that they can attract a lot to our lives.
But when we expect a physical reward or just a simple soul food and we get nothing, it breaks us. However, when we get it from places or persons we least expected it from, it breaks us too.
I am broken, from both sides. The negatives make me sad and weak for a while, and the positives make me break free from prejudice, pride and other negative attitude.
Life has broken me, but I am reforming into a better being.
When life breaks you, don't allow it shatter your being, don't allow it remould you less than who you are. Ride on the wings of brokenness to reform into a greater you.
Much love from me to y'all.
