From the Golden Teachings of Shaykh Nurjan Mirahmadi (ق)
بِسْمِ اللَّـهِ الرَّحْمَـٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
اَلَّھُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَی سَیَّدِنَا محَمَّدٍ ﷺ وَعَلَی آلِ سَیَّدِنَا محَمَّدٍ ﷺ
𝐐𝐮𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 : Can you speak about Sayyidina Mahdi (as)?
𝐒𝐡𝐚𝐲𝐤𝐡 𝐍𝐮𝐫𝐣𝐚𝐧 𝐌𝐢𝐫𝐚𝐡𝐦𝐚𝐝𝐢 : We talked last night about Sayyidina Mahdi (as) [shaykh laughs]. Yeah inshaAllah. Watch last night’s broadcast, that was very nice. Tajjali (manifestation) was pretty heavy, inshaAllah.
𝐐𝐮𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 : When doing the muhasabah before sleeping is it possible for the shaykh to say: ‘Well done, you did well in this situation,’ or is that from the nafs?
𝐒𝐡𝐚𝐲𝐤𝐡 𝐍𝐮𝐫𝐣𝐚𝐧 𝐌𝐢𝐫𝐚𝐡𝐦𝐚𝐝𝐢 : Yeah, that’s from the nafs (ego). The reality of hasad (jealousy), and that’s why you’ll never see the shaykh praise any of the students because the danger and the immense danger of hasad. So, for Sayyidina Jalaluddin Rumi (Q) and Shaykh Shams al-Tabriz (Q), Shaykh Shams al-Tabriz (Q) would praise Sayyidina Jalaluddin (Q) and as a result, they wanted to kill him. And then Sayyidina Jalaluddin (Q) when became big would praise his shaykh and they wanted to kill him. The danger of praising, and that’s a physical danger but the danger is immense hasad. If the shaykh begin to praise a student, the hasad of others will come like bolts of lightning upon that person who’s not prepared. Many, many difficulties will begin to face their life and hardships begin to face them and face their family and their children because these energies begin to attack from very direction. Because the people have a hasad within their heart known and unknown to themselves. If they know it and they have hasad, ‘Like why is like that I was gonna… me, I was like this…’ then they’re sending it you know with knowing. But the majority of you know tens of thousands of people online that come across these teachings now especially with internet then that could be an immense energy for somebody who’s not trained or been ordered to be in a position like that. The one whom is ordered to be in a position has a support – a shield of support, otherwise they would be of.. in an immense difficulty. So, everything is by a wisdom and a hikmah. Many times they bring down to it or talk down to it or avoid saying anything about it so that that student ever.. never falls into a difficulty. So, as far as you know meditating by yourself and the shaykh sort of coming to you and saying that, ‘Oh you.. that was good muhasabah (self-examination)’ better not to go that route and say, ‘Astaghfirullah (seek forgiveness from Allah (AJ) it’s not me, it’s not me.’ We said even if you think that in your meditation they’re coming giving you gifts or lights and.. say: alhamdulillah for that but that’s not me and that’s not for me, I’m nothing, I’m nothing. “ilahi anta maqsudi wa radhaaka matloob.”
اِلَهِى اَنْتَ مَقْصُوْدِيْ وَرِضَاكَ مَطْلُوْبِيْ
“ilahi anta maqsudi wa radhaaka matloob."
“My God, You are my aim, and Your Satisfaction is what I seek.”
Ana abdukal 'ajeezu, dayeefu, miskin, wa zhalim, wa jahl, and that I’m nothing. So, we have to negate it, negate it, negate it so much so that to keep the cup empty. They can give whatever they want but the servant has to acknowledge their nothingness at all times otherwise their growth will stop, and then if the growth stop shaitan (satan) will enter into the action and make now pride enter into the action. And that again is a sickness and danger like a cancer on spirituality. So, everything that they do in the dunya (material world) they say, ‘Oh don’t turn this lightbulb, it causes cancer.’ You know people are really scared of cancer. Say, ‘Oh don’t turn the lightbulb, its.. we’re going to get cancer from this lightbulb. Don’t, don’t, don’t, don’t, don’t, don’t touch this plastic cup you’re going to get cancer.’ But they’re not scared of spiritual cancer, that if shaitan should attach you know with the nafs (ego) and pride into an ‘amal (action) he poisons that entire ‘amal because the person is then making it now nafsani (egocentric) thinking and thinking big, and then Allah (AJ) refuses the action. And that’s why spiritual guidance and to keep the company of shaykhs because they’re continuously fighting that on behalf of the person. If they’re really making their tafakkur, the shaykh coming to them and teaching them, ‘Don’t pay attention to that.’ If they’re doing from a distance and email, the shaykh will email you something completely you know… ‘We don’t care.’ You send emails, ‘That I had big dream, I had like this, the mountain came to me is like this..’ the shaykh will just send you an email that ‘Go and meditate.’ Not pay any attention to your dreams, they don’t care anything about your dreams, they’re not impressed about your dreams, and they don’t want you to be impressed about your dreams because then shaitan is now coming in and playing with you, and that becomes a big danger. InshaAllah.
𝐐𝐮𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 : As Salaamu Alaykum Sayyidi
𝐒𝐡𝐚𝐲𝐤𝐡 𝐍𝐮𝐫𝐣𝐚𝐧 𝐌𝐢𝐫𝐚𝐡𝐦𝐚𝐝𝐢 : Walaykum As Salaam wa rehmatullah. You know the dream thing is important. Because one time we went to a maqam (station) and the maqam had, had an opening, it was in Uzbekistan and I took a rock from where the actual is over to the qabr (grave), I took the rock and I put it in my jubbah (cloak), and we went back to the hotel with Mawlana (Q). And I said, ‘Mawlana look I got this rock I can give to you.’ He said, “The rock is for you, I’m with them.” You got it? So, it means… [shaykh laughs] I went to the maqam because for me that the rock was like so exciting, I got a rock from the maqam and Mawlana Shaykh (Q) is saying, “Are you trying to impress me with a rock.” Say, “I am with them twenty-four hours a day.” So it’s the same analogy, your dream is not impressing because they are living a life of real time connection, why they need to know from the world of rocks? So, they’re asking us to leave that understanding and make your connection to be real and the character to be real and go into real time inshaAllah.
𝐐𝐮𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 : As Salaamu Alaykum Sayyidi. How do we know if we learned our first name? A name came to me while I was praying and my brother called me the same name the same day. It’s strangely fitting.
𝐒𝐡𝐚𝐲𝐤𝐡 𝐍𝐮𝐫𝐣𝐚𝐧 𝐌𝐢𝐫𝐚𝐡𝐦𝐚𝐝𝐢 : Walaykum As Salaam wa rehmatullah inshaAllah. Alhamdulillah write it down. Just write it down and keep it for yourself and keep it written down in a book for yourself to understand yourself, ‘This section of the book is for me to know myself, what are my characters, what are my bad characters, how am I coming against those bad characteristics,’ and then this is possibly a name that’s of importance to me and keep making your meditation and tafakkur (contemplation) and ask for more understanding on it, inshaAllah.
𝐐𝐮𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 : Sayyidi how exactly to make intention to do mawlid with intention of Shaykh Abdullah Faiz ad-Daghestani (Q) as you mentioned yesterday? How exactly to do that for a beginner?
𝐒𝐡𝐚𝐲𝐤𝐡 𝐍𝐮𝐫𝐣𝐚𝐧 𝐌𝐢𝐫𝐚𝐡𝐦𝐚𝐝𝐢 : Yeah, again there is no exact. It’s exactly what we taught, so any Naqshbandi who understood and just heard what we said that from the reality of Shaykh Abdullah Faiz ad-Daghestani (Q) make intention to do mawlid e-Nabi ﷺ and you just recite that, ‘Ya Rabbi I’m making intention for mawlid e-Nabi ﷺ under the order of Mawlana Shaykh Abdullah Faiz ad-Daghestani (Q), Sultanul Awliya (king of saints) Shaykh Muhammad Nazim Haqqani (Q) and all mashayikh of the tariqah (spiritual path) and we’re making mawlid. But that was not only you make the mawlid but attend the shaykhs mawlid and that’s why three days a week the mawlid is being broadcast. So three days a week with the… a shaykh’s connection is making intention under that intention so that’s to show then the importance of the power of that mehfil (gathering) that’s going out. And what type of dress and barakah (blessing) is dressing that association. And then when they make the mawlids in person then alhamdulillah its attendance through the broadcast and through physicality is an immense blessing. And when they’re travelling and going around and people say, ‘I’m busy right now I can’t you know host a mawlid.’ They don’t understand what that was that they turned down. So, that’s for the understanding of the teachings. And when somebody else is watching and having the broadcast in their home, alhamdulillah. And if they want to have a mawlid at their home with their children and relatives, alhamdulillah. But that one they’re less interested in teaching about because any time you open your home to an association and your shaykh is not there, you’re opening your house to an abode of fitna (confusion), cause we’re you know thirty years into this game, we understand happens. As soon as you open your house and you know five people come or maybe ten people come.. oh somebody’s going to show up and he’s going to want to teach, he’s going to want to talk, he’s going to want to redirect everybody in a different direction. And then you have a lot of problems on how to control that. That’s why the easiest association – just you put your children and loved ones where you just play the mawlid, recite some of the mawlids that you want and no problem. And the easiest is then just turn on the live and attend the majlis (association) live, but once you do something and few people show up in days of where’s there’s no mask, and before you know it somebody would try to speak and somebody would try to sort of hijack the association and becomes a different issue and different difficulty inshaAllah.
𝐐𝐮𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 : If we are having difficulty with our health and it stops us from doing meditation, what can we do to overcome this and keep doing what is needed for the soul?
𝐒𝐡𝐚𝐲𝐤𝐡 𝐍𝐮𝐫𝐣𝐚𝐧 𝐌𝐢𝐫𝐚𝐡𝐦𝐚𝐝𝐢 : Yeah, Walaykum As Salaam I think you have to email us at helpme@nurmuhammad.com because I can’t think of anything offhand that would stop you from meditation, because it’s the least amount of activity. You’re just sitting and connecting your heart and you’re.. if you’re not healthy you’re probably sitting all the time. So, it’s a matter of using that time and the effort that you have into connecting your heart, doing your zikr, and learning how to do your khafi zikr – silent zikr and asking for an energy and support, and that’s even beneficial for your health and to improve the energy that coming upon the body to assist it in its healing inshaAllah. But if it’s specifically something in your health then you have to email and we try to figure that out at that time inshaAllah.
𝐐𝐮𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 : What is the importance of water? What is the reality behind feeling tremendous energy and faiz (downpouring blessings) after drinking water sometimes?
𝐒𝐡𝐚𝐲𝐤𝐡 𝐍𝐮𝐫𝐣𝐚𝐧 𝐌𝐢𝐫𝐚𝐡𝐦𝐚𝐝𝐢 : Alhamdulillah, yeah lot of blessings on water that Allah (AJ) on mai (water) – Say: ‘My Throne is upon the water.’ It’s an angelic reality of a stable energy and has a tremendous might and izzah in that reality.
وَكَانَ عَرْشُهُ عَلَى الْمَاءِ ﴿٧﴾
11:7 – “…wa kana ‘arshuhu ‘alal maa ye...” (Surat Hud)
“…and His Throne had been upon water...” (Hud, 11:7)
And mai is ‘Meem’ and ‘Alif.’ And that Allah (AJ) described that, ‘My Throne is upon this mai’ so it means that there must be an immense power and an immense reality in water and when water comes into insan (mankind) it’s a angelic force. If they do it with recitations and with the making their prayers, it’s an angelic force that comes within their body. Their zikr (Divine remembrance), their meditation again then is geared towards - why the meditation and all the practices of meditation is then to understand that 70 percent of your body is water. So, when you’re doing your meditation, doing your zikr, you’re changing the power of that water within your being so that shaitan doesn’t hijack that blood and that your zikr and your energy begin to energize that blood. And then that becomes the energy that’s going to the heart, from the heart go to the breath, from the breath goes to all of the organs. Means everything going to be dressed by the reality of that blood and the condition and the purity of the heart. So, it plays an immense importance in the reality of insan. The water on the outside has an angelic force in which to burn away shayateen (devils) on the outside. Once they understood that and brought the water inside then they have the ability to burn the shaitan on the inside because their purity of their water, their du’a (supplication) upon the water it comes in with a divine fire in which to burn away shayateen. And then their zikr and their meditation energizes all of their blood again which is 70 percent water of their body. So, again all of that is the inner reality of how to make wudu and how to cleanse and how to bring that energy out. So, inshaAllah it has a.. it’s a deep reality from our elements, water has a immense importance. And then we have our earthly element and the importance of that earth. We have the air and the breath that Allah (AJ) gave to us, and our fiery nature. So, understanding these elements then is important in tariqah and the way towards ma’rifah (Gnosticism). That’s why you can put out fire with earth and with water. And that’s why Prophet ﷺ brought for us wudu or tayammum (act of dry ablution). Because the clean soil, sand or the mohr that we use for our practices – that clean soil and sand you can make wudu and the clay and the sand burns away the shayateen, stops the fire of shaitan, as well as the power that Allah (AJ) put within mai and the mai pulls away that. So, when they balance their earthly reality and they understood on how to ignite the water of their reality they’re able to contain the fire that is coming upon them and not to be narani – not to be fiery and angry because these are the things that bring down your fire. As a result of controlling their fire reality then Allah (AJ) gives power to their breath. Because then when they’re breathing and they have control of their physical energy, they have control of the water within their reality – Allah (AJ) then ignites their breathing with a divine – Nafas ur Rahmah (the Breath of Mercy). Their breath becomes of a divine qudra and power as they’re breathing. And that becomes the great mizan – the scale that is able to balance. Insan is the great scale of Allah (AJ), that their clay they can balance with their clay the fire and the water of their reality, so their clay form can balance that. Where Allah (AJ) when He made the jinn (unseen beings) and the jinn thought they were very powerful and shaitan came against this creation he lacked the understanding of what type of reality Allah (AJ) would put into this clay form. That it wasn’t just clay that you can come and go out of it but it was a mizan and a scale because only the clay had an element in which to hold water, because as soon as you put water on clay angelic things grow. That’s why when you put water on soil, flowers and things come to life. So, as soon as water touches this creation everything comes to life with them. At the same time because of that creation it can also contain the fire of shaitan and the jinn element within insan. And that he didn’t understand because his nature was just fire, he can’t take fire cause water will extinguish him. So, the great creation of Allah (AJ) is insan that if they reach towards that mizan and the scale where they hold fire in one hand and hold water in another hand, Allah (AJ) would Breathe onto him from His Spirit in which they are far more powerful than these shaitans and these jinn, and shaitan couldn’t see that. Because they have then jinn element within them, they have angelic elements within them and they have the breath of Allah (AJ) inshaAllah.
𝐐𝐮𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 : I will be working with the mentally ill as part of my job, what is the easiest way for me to protect myself from negative energies and entities?
𝐒𝐡𝐚𝐲𝐤𝐡 𝐍𝐮𝐫𝐣𝐚𝐧 𝐌𝐢𝐫𝐚𝐡𝐦𝐚𝐝𝐢 : Walaykum As Salaam. That’s a difficult job especially in difficult times because there’s too many people with very, very negative energies attacking them. And if you can you visualize an energy is like wound up too much.. you take a rubber band and wind it a thousand times, it’s about to snap and as soon as you let it go ‘Wrrrwrr’ [twirling fast sound effect] and start twirling. The energy on people is like that they are so wound up – so much in difficulty that when you’re near them that energy will reflect onto the people. So, psychiatrists, psychologists they have the highest suicide rate because they don’t understand energy and when they’re dealing with these energies they’re going home and killing themselves. Because they don’t understand how energy dress them, depression dress them, anxiety dress them, all of these characteristics that is upon that servant is dressing that one trying to heal them. So, the tariqah comes and teaches one: you have to be very careful and two: you have to keep a certain amount of distance always. Then your energy practices – you have to keep your wudu, have to keep your ta’weez (prayer for protection), have to keep your salah (prayer), have to keep all your practices. And definitely when you go home, you wash so that to wash away any type of negativity that has come upon you and make a strong, strong connection with the shaykh so that you have a faiz and an energy sort of dressing upon the servant inshaAllah.
𝐐𝐮𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 : What is the significance of the 15th of Ramadan with regards to the awliya?
𝐒𝐡𝐚𝐲𝐤𝐡 𝐍𝐮𝐫𝐣𝐚𝐧 𝐌𝐢𝐫𝐚𝐡𝐦𝐚𝐝𝐢 : 15th of Ramadan inshaAllah the birthday of Imam al-Hassan (as) Ibn Ali Abu Muhammad al Mujtaba. That we talked from just sifat ar-Rahman (attribute of The Most Compassionate) when Allah (AJ) Creating these lights and the reality of all lights in the form of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ is “Qurratol ‘aini, Jaddal Hassan wal Hussaini.”
أَسْيَادِي الْحَسَّنْ وَالْحُسَّيْنِ النَّبِيْ قُرَّةُ العَيْنِ
وَيَا شَبَابَ الْجَنَتَيْنِ جَدُّكُمْ صَاحِبُ الْقُرْآنَ
Asyadil Hassan wal Hussaini, Ilan Nabi qurrato ‘aini
Ya shabaa bal janna’taini, Jaddukum saahibul Qur’ana
"Our Masters, Imam Hassan (as) and Imam Hussain (as), They are the coolness of Prophet’s (pbuh) eyes. O the Youth of the Paradises."
"Your Grandfather (Prophet Muhammad (pbuh)) is the owner of the holy Qur’an."
That the beatific light that makes the eyes of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ, one of them is the light of Imam al-Hassan (as). And Allah (AJ) Dressed that light with the sifat of ar-Rahman. So, imagine all the realities of sifat ar-Rahman and that is a dress on the light of the soul of Imam al-Hassan (as). And that’s why Allah (AJ) implored us to have and ask for “Fid dunya hasanat”
﴾وَمِنْهُم مَّن يَقُولُ رَبَّنَا آتِنَا فِي الدُّنْيَا حَسَنَةً ﴿٢٠١
2:201 – “Wa minhum mai yaqoolu rabbanaaa aatina fid dunyaa hasanatawn...” (Surat Al-Baqarah)
“Our Lord, give us in this world [that which is] good...” (The Cow, 2:201)
And when we ask for “Dunya hasanat” means then we want from this light of sifat ar-Rahman – we want from the light of Prophet ﷺ and the light of Imam al-Hassan (as) that Prophet ﷺ has partitioned of him his reality of insan al kamil (The Universal Perfect Being) to the reality of his grandchild Imam al-Hassan (as). That is of an immense reality of that dress, that light, that blessing that Allah (AJ) perfect our light in dunya (material world). And the other eye for Imam al-Hussain (as) under sifat ar-Raheem (attribute of The Most Merciful) Allah (AJ) gave the secret. When say, ‘Ya Rahman’ – by the haq (truth) and the reality of what ar-Rahman is Dressing in the reality of Imam al-Hassan’s (as) soul that Allah (AJ) had Created. And Allah (AJ) created these anciently, it does… that’s why the malakut (heavenly realm) to dunya people doesn’t make sense. They think that something in dunya then Allah (AJ) will Name it. Allah (AJ) Created it before He Made the form, in the world of light when Allah (AJ) Established what this light would be all of these realities were already established and Allah (AJ) Named them based on what the secret of it is supposed to be and then later when it came to earth then people were made aware and certain people were made aware of the physical reality of these creation that Allah (AJ) has Made. Which again is immense, ‘Ya hanan, Ya hanan’ when we’re singing ‘Ya hanan… Ya hanana, Ya hanana zahoor Nabi Ahmad.’
(ظَهَرَ الدِّيْنُ الْمُؤَيَدْ
- بِظُهُوْرِ النَّبِيْ اَحْمَد)
يَاهَنَّانَا بِمُحَمَّدْ - ذَلِكَ الْفَضْلُ مِنَ اللهُ…اَلله!
(يَاهَنَّانَا، يَاهَنَّانَا)
(Zahara ad-dinul mu’ayyad
- Bi zuhurin Nabi Ahmad)
Ya Hannana bi Muhammad - Dhalikal fadhlu min Allahhhh … ALLAH!
(Ya Hannana, Ya Hannana)
Allah’s (AJ) eternal religion manifested by arrival and birth of the Perfected Guide, Prophet Ahmad (pbuh). Our peace and joy can only be achieved by the presence of Muhammad (pbuh) whom is the grace and bounty of Allah (AJ)
Means how these awliyaullah (saints) are singing these.. that Ya hanana it means ‘Everybody be happy, everybody be happy’ because you don’t understand what this means when Allah (AJ) sent the zuhoor (appearance) and the presence of Nabi Ahmad ﷺ, from that reality of the ocean of souls that we have no understanding what Allah (AJ) sent into this physical world called ‘Muhammad ﷺ’. So their na’ats (prophetic praising’s) are all about the reality of the.. these salawats and all of this are immense reality that ‘People be happy, be happy,’ because Allah (AJ) sent an immense reality upon this earth on a form that we know as Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ who fis sama (in the heavens) is Nabi Ahmad ﷺ. So, that’s immense that that immense light they were astonished that is going to be sent onto this earth. So, all of these are just immense realities from the world of malakut – the world of lights inshaAllah.
Subhana rabbika rabbal ‘izzati ‘amma yasifoon, wa salaamun ‘alal mursaleen, walhamdulillahi rabbil ‘aalameen. Bi hurmati Muhammad al-Mustafa wa bi siri Surat al-Fatiha.
