Alondra was a rather peculiar girl, who happens to be in her early twenties. She refused to give any suggestions or opinions on the group of seven at first. While everyone else was busy searching on the island, Alondra would often sit on a log and watch them. It has been 21 days already, the seven teenagers have been on the island. They've found nothing, not even anything that is pertinent to the Tiara.
Nevertheless, many tragedies have already occurred throughout the days. From Matthew falling off the ladder, breaking his knee to Jake and Jenna being thrown automatically to the creek. In the end, all three of them ended up with severe injuries. Matthew's knee was cracked to a point where the doctors said it was incorrigible, Jake's neck was ripped almost in half by the crocodiles and immediately sent to the hospital. Meanwhile Jenna was still with them, but she's in the cabin in her bed resting with a bandaged wrist and a swollen eye. Lena's skeptical instinct always has its uses at grueling times like this. She had already suspected Alondra, when Matthew fell off the 5 meter ladder. She was present at the time, no one saw her do anything to the ladder which made him fall. But it felt more than a coincidence to Lena.
Then, there was the time when Jenna and Jake were on the other half of the island. They were nowhere near the creek, then abruptly they fell in it. The creek was rather perilous, because many crocodiles swim in it. Alondra, was also present at the time and she instigated the need to take Jake to the hospital like Matt. Lena's implausible instinct about Alondra grew after that. It has been 3 days now, nothing's happened yet. Matthew and Jake are both in the hospital, miles away from the lake and the island they're in.
Samantha (calling): found the Tiara!! Is this it??!!
Lena (relief): yes, that is it. Hayden, we've found it!!!!
Hayden: amazing work, girls!!! Come on, lets go back to the cabin and tell Jenna,
Alondra and Darcy about it. We'll have to start scrutinizing it tonight.
Samantha: I bet they'll be just as pleased to hear about it. Poor Jenna, is her wrist and eye getting any better??
Lena: don't think so. Her eyelid is still red and a massive lump, she cannot see with that eye. As for her wrist............well, I'm not sure.
Hayden (impatient): come on, Lena and Samantha!!!
As they returned to the cabin, something felt very off. It was silent, way too silent and the vibe felt intense. Jenna, Alondra and Darcy were assumable inside, yet when they went in there was only Jenna. She was sleeping on the couch, when a pillow and blanket over her. They woke her up and told her the good news. She was incessantly rejoiced and the four of them took the tiara to the dining table, they started discussing it. After what took like 20 minutes, Lena finally inaugurated the fact that Darcy and Alondra were missing.
Lena (belligerently): We're forgetting that we have two other members.........God knows where???!!!
Samantha (hysterical): oh yeah.........Jenna, have you seen Alondra and Darcy??!! We know you were asleep.
Jenna: no. Alondra told me that she was going to take Darcy out to find you guys. Did they??!!
Lena (gasp): WHAT??!!
Hayden: please chill, Lena. Surely they'll be back before we know it, they've got each other. What can possibly happen??
Lena glanced out the window, making sure they were not back yet. So that they weren't able to hear what she has to say. Then she silently told them about her doubts on Alondra.
Lena (quietly): yeah about that. I don't trust her............
Samantha: who, Alondra??!!
Lena (snap): you know who I'm talking about!!! Like......we don't even know her that well. She just shows up here, claiming that she's the gatekeeper and that
Gaius had sent her to us. How are we supposed to know if she's telling the truth??!!
Jenna: she's making a point here.
Hayden: oh, come on Lena. Yes, she's like 3 years older than us and much more capable..................
Lena (scoff): just knew you would come to this conclusion!!! That is not what I'm talking about, like Samantha you were with me when Matt fell. You heard the way she spoke when he fell, all satirical and fake.
Samantha: yeah, but she could've actually meant what she was saying.
Lena: Sam, trust your gut instinct. There's something very off about this girl and we both know it, we were there when it had happened...........
Before they knew it, Alondra ran back to them. It was sudden and she made them follow her to a spot in the forest far from the cabin. They've never been to this part of the island before, Lena was at the very back running behind them. Alondra was accelerating and so was Hayden, Samantha and Jenna. Lena kept on looking back, wrapping ribbons around tree branches as marks when they return.
They reached to what happens to be an abandoned well, it was probably once used as a facility when there were citizens. It was so deep that they felt a horrific shock, as they saw Darcy laying in there. There was blood splitting out of him and he was unconscious. Lena felt like she was going to throw up or shout hysterically, Samantha and Jenna already did. Hayden was in tears as well, but he tried to put on the brave posture by telling the girls it would be alright.
Thankfully Jenna had brought a rope with her from the cabin, as they got Darcy out. He was still unconscious but still breathing well. They knew he was still alive, so Hayden piggybacked him back to the bay and went off with him to the hospital, using the canoe. The entire way back, Jenna and Samantha could not stop sobbing and as they went back into the cabin they ran straight to their room. Lena and Alondra were left all alone, in the lounge room.
Lena (ambivalent): I know what you did, Alondra. Matt, Jake, Jenna and Darcy.........this was you’re doing, wasn't it??!!
Alondra (satirically): they had accidents......I was there and I called for help.
Lena: oh please, is it necessary for you to lie to me now that it is only the two of us. You think, I would be a total fool like the rest of them and believe in your charm??!! Not a chance I tell you!!!
Alondra (sneer): I just knew we were going to come to this. Your friend is dead, Lena and he is not going to come back. His fall was brutal and it broke his skull. Just like all of you will be, including yourself. You and your pests won't make it through alive, I tell you. Because I'm going to make sure each one of you drench in your blood.
Lena (sigh): why are you doing this to us. Are you part of Raven's cult as well??!!
Alondra (smirk): Raven.......oh no, she's way too little for me. I'm the gatekeeper.
Lena: well, whatever it is you are trying to do to us. I won't allow it, you are forgetting the fact that I'm a heiress of the Klammer.
Their mortal conversation was immediately broken by Jenna and Samantha. They came out at last, both of them stopped weeping and started making supper. Lena helped them, but also kept an eye out for Alondra who was now outside of the cabin. She was looking psychotically out at the sky. Hayden returned to the cabin around 8:23PM at night, his face was worn out and he did not say anything to the girls. He was now the only guy left, sleeping on his own.
They asked him if Darcy was alright, but he refused to talk about it and went to the guys' room to sleep. The tiara was left on the table, however Lena kept an eye on it. Alondra had this mischievous look on her face, which meant she was up to something sinister. As the four girls went to sleep, Lena could not sleep at all, meanwhile Jenna and Samantha slept soundly. As she turned around she saw Alondra right behind her. She was staring at Lena, in a way that felt like her entire soul was shot. For more than 30 minutes, Lena tried to ignore her and attempt to get some sleep.
She wasn't able to and she got out of her bed viciously and headed off to Hayden's. Hayden was not asleep as well, he laid with his eyes wide open staring at the ceiling. His bed was an entire mess, which indicated that he tossed and turned a lot. Lena laid right beside him, before they knew it they kissed. It's been more than 4 months since that's happened. Lena started crying, Hayden could see the translucent tears streaming down her face as the moon shone on them.
Hayden: hey, everything's going to be alright. When I sent Darcy to the hospital, I saw Jake and Matt. They were recovering already, Jake's neck was healing fast and so was Matt's knee. The doctor is still scanning Darcy, he's been the most injured out of all of them. But according to the professor, he thinks that he will make it through. His family is with him, praying for him.
Lena (sob): I want to go home, Hayden. I mean......we've found the tiara now so what the point of staying here is.
Hayden: we're going back tomorrow. We'll take the tiara with us..........you've got it with you??!!
Lena: I've got to keep it safe, Hayden.
Hayden (sigh): Lena, there is no need for that. There is only the five of us, whose going to come in and steal it.
Lena (snap): haven't you figured that out yet, or are you just too stupid to understand!!!
Hayden: hey, don't snap at me.
Lena: sorry, Hayden. I just find it frustrating that you guys are so blinded by her, can't you see what she's really like. Can't you see that all this was not a coincidence, use your common sense? Who was with Matt when he fell off the ladder, who was with Jake and Jenna when they got thrown into the river and who was with Darcy when he got himself mortally injured??!!!
Hayden (sigh): I know...you are upset, okay and I totally get that...........
Lena (gruel): I'm more than upset!!! We need to prevent this from exacerbating,
Alondra is the person behind it all.
Hayden: it could've just been a coincidence, Lena.
Lena (relentless): coincidences??!! All that seems more than a coincidence to me. She wants us dead, Hayden because she is a sociopath.
Hayden: fine, then. I'm sick of hearing you having a ramp about her, we'll discuss with her as a five first thing in the morning!!!
Lena (sternly): deal!!
