Hello friends!
These shots I took in the Botanical Garden in Berlin last week!
I am a materialist, but when I look at the flower of passionflower, I'm almost certain that God exists! It's incredible! It's so
incredible that it's impossible to come up with a rational explanation of how nature created this miracle without divine intervention!
Passion flowers have unique floral structures that ripen into a fancy fragrant fruit with lots of seeds, which we call passion fruit.

Native peoples of the Americas used passionflower as a mild sedative.
Today, passionflower is used as a dietary supplement for anxiety and sleep problems, as well as for pain, heart rhythm problems, menopausal symptoms, and attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder. It is applied to the skin for burns and to treat hemorrhoids.
Passion flower herb for nerve calming purposes consists of the fresh or dried above ground parts of Passiflora incarnata and their preparations. Passion flower is a protective antioxidant powerhouse. The plant contains the antioxidant compounds vitexin, isovitexin, kaempferol, quercetin, rutin, apigenin and luteolin glycosides. The plant also contains indole alkaloids, fatty acids, gum, maltol, phytosterols, sugars and a trace of volatile oil. Purely from a protective standpoint, passion flower is quite extraordinary. The quercetin in passion flower is one of the most powerfully protective compounds known, and has antioxidant, anti-inflammatory and anti-cancer properties.
This plant is part of my daily evening hot drink and I sleep like a baby!
