Beauty, Abundance, and Playing in the Forest

Here I was playing a game with our 6-year-old human, we had just spawned close to each other and we heard voiced that led us into the forest. We had these strange names that I don't remember and we didn't know each other though we became friends quickly. In our hands were amulets, his was to represent Tartarus and mine Aphrodite.

These amulets are made of large Legos and each color is a different precious stone. He's been making them with a friend of his once in a while, and we have them spotted around the property as if they were sacred little temples.

The voices in our heads told us to find where to place our amulets. They also told us to forage for food and so we found mushrooms and berries. At some point as I was picking from a patch of black trumpets beyond the barrier that protects our world from the monsters. Luckily, I was able to jump back into our protected bubble right before they got me, but the barrier had become week and they were soon to break through... We had to act fast and take both our amulets together to create a new barrier by pronouncing certain magical words. It worked, the world was safe again, but it was done just in time!!!
Now we could go on to forage a bit more as we walked back home.

I love playing like that, and I never want to be that Dad who works all the time. Yes, it takes a toll on the time line we had originally thought up for the property, but it’s well worth it! I still get to forage some things, we get to play and we’re both learning every day, what more would one ask really?
