I eat a lot of spicy dishes with red chillies. Indian and Thai curries are favourites. I add spoonfuls of chilli oil to oriental noodle dishes.
When I was pregnant, I had an insatiable desire for chillies which are known to be high in vitamin C and capsaicin, powerful antioxidants which boost your immune system. The plants are small and can be grown on a kitchen windowsill ๐ถ Dried chillies are known as paprika which we also use a lot to flavour our cooking.
Chillies also contain vitamins A, B6 and K1, potassium and copper.
Chillies are reputed to reduce heartburn and osteoarthritis pain, aid weight loss, fight inflammation and clear congestion.
