Today I bring you a cool way to make a cool string by your own, save money, and even make some money as well using it for different purposes.

But... how?

Well, here you have a way to make strings from scratching, all you need is a bark from a fallen tree, your hands and a little bit of patient.

I need to tell you I didn't discover this technique, I just took it from a Primitive technology youtube channel, I studied the technique and I decided to try it, finally it became one of my hobbies

It is not good for trees and environment, is it?

Well, In my case I just upcycle, I just take some fallen tree bark , and if I can, i plant another in advance. Moreover, this is a natural technique, you don't need to pollute or use chemicals, or destroy forests.

So here you finally have the steps about how to make a hand-made string

Process

Here you have the entire process and my Video about the technique.

First off select a stick from a fallen tree or cut one from a tree to gather some fibers, in this case I used a stick from the undergrowth

You need to "peel" the stick to get them.

Then you just braid the fibers to get a string

Are they strong enough?
Well, it depends on the string width of course, but these natural fibers are strong. Here you have a proof:
