When the mixture of organic materials is made, mineralization and release of minerals is induced. In this sense, if the heap is left without turning during the first three days of fermentation, the compost tends to rise to more than 80° C, which should not be allowed. It is not advisable for the temperature to exceed 50° C.
▶ To achieve this, the first four days it is recommended to turn the mixture twice (in the morning and in the afternoon). Likewise, Bocashi Traditional organic fertilizer has some characteristics that allow it to be easily differentiated from any other type of fertilizer that is prepared from organic fermentation process.

The use of high volumes of forest or mountain soil (soil that contains beneficial microorganisms, and at the same time does not contain pathogens), the use of high quality organic matter of such as rice semolina, chicken manure and soybean cake, the process is performed only under mainly aerobic conditions, there is a diversity of Bocashi recipes, because each farmer prepares it in his own way.
On the other hand, the fundamental objective of the use of Bocashi organic fertilizer is to supply minerals in organic nutrition to crops. Also, the mineralization of the organic matter allows the release of minerals which are easily absorbed by the plants and favor the elimination of pathogens, which could easily be in the fresh organic matter and cause damage to the crop, from this agricultural approach, the preparation of the compost gives once prepared the Bocashi, it is necessary to continue to control the process.
The first thing to keep in mind, if there is no excess moisture, is that under aerobic conditions the mixture ferments very quickly and the temperature rises in a matter of hours, so it could overheat. The temperature should be maintained between 35°C - 50°C.
