As we have mentioned in the publications that precede this one, in effect, the preparation of the organic fertilizer Bocashi, when it is desired to work with vegetables in greenhouses in the system of seedlings with trays, the particles of charcoal to be used in the manufacture of the fermented fertilizer must be smaller (semi-pulverized) to facilitate filling the trays and allow to remove the seedlings without damaging their roots, before the definitive transplanting in the field.
▶ First of all, Bocashi contains rice husks that improve the physical characteristics of the soil and organic fertilizers, facilitating aeration, moisture absorption and nutrient filtration. It benefits the increase of macro and microbiological activity of the soil at the same time that it stimulates the uniform and abundant development of the root system of the plants. It is a rich source of silica, which favors plants to give them greater resistance against insects and microorganisms.

Purge honey or cane molasses is the main energy source for the fermentation of organic fertilizers, favoring the multiplication of microbiological activity. It is rich in potassium, calcium, magnesium and contains micronutrients, mainly boron.
In many cases, common soil occupies up to one third of the total volume of the compost to be produced. Among many contributions, it has the function of giving a greater physical homogeneity to the compost and distributing its humidity; with its volume, it increases the environment for the development of the microbiological activity of the compost and consequently, to achieve a good fermentation.
And water has the property of homogenizing the humidity of all the ingredients that make up the compost, providing the ideal conditions for the good development of microbiological activity and reproduction during the whole fermentation process when organic fertilizers are being manufactured.
