Today I will share agricultural information on the ideal planting density for the cultivation of ocumo, along with other techniques, determinant in the interception of solar radiation by the crop, in order to convert solar energy into biomass.
▶ It is argued that the appropriate planting density for tropical edoclimatic conditions for the cultivation of ocumo ranges between 17 857 plant/ha (0.80 m x 0.70 m) and 25 000 plant/ha (0.80 m x 0.50 m), while some theorists in the area say that the best planting densities for ocumo are 1 m x 1 m and 0.80 m x 1m.

Planting density has a very significant effect on crop productivity, but while increasing planting density can benefit crop development and productivity, it is not always recommended.
This is where the importance of this research lies, since it studies the most appropriate planting density to obtain good productivity, and thus guarantee the most optimal production and quality of the crop at the national level.
The objective of this and the following contents that I will share is to try to socialize the effect of different planting densities on the growth and production of Chinese ocumo (Colocasia esculenta L.).
Of course, always taking into account the climatic conditions of the tropics, specifically those of countries such as Venezuela, Colombia and Ecuador.
