#265 - Grasses and Trees at the Resort.
Blessed day once again everyone! I hope you are all doing well once again. Today's photos will feature the resort where we stayed during our two day tour in the small island of Jomalig which is found a few hundred kilometers away from the port of Real Quezon.
The name of the resort was SPIR or South Pacific Island Resort, sounds cool right? The accomodations here is pretty much plain, a nipa hut to stay for a couple of day and there is a canteen inside the resort where you can ask the owner to cook for your meals. That is pretty much it, no AC at all and only an old electric fan cools the small hut we were in.
Also, there is a rotating Black out during our stay and it was unfortunate that the resort time for electricity cut off was at night during our sleep.😆😁
Good thing the air is already cold and the silence of the night only give the noice coming from chirping insects and the sea waters as it make a splash on the shore every few seconds.
These photos were taken after we arrived to the resort from our almost whole day island tour. We just sat on the Bermuda grass and talked their for a couple of hours while enjoying the fresh air coming from the plants and trees around us.
The Bermuda grass cover most of the front of the resort facing the sea. The owner said it is used by tourists for cmaping, those who brought tents with them and do not want to rent any huts to stay because they are saving money. Well, the accomodations is pretty much cheap already so I think they brought tents for the experience you know, looking at the skyline at night while having a bonfire near the shore.
Most of the plants grown here are coconut trees. They provide a good cover during middays and also the trees are tough and can withstand several typhoon categories. Plus, they provide a good source of fruits and juice to every tourists who want to have coconut water as their liquid instead of booze or mineral water.
That's pretty much it about this resort. Simple but you will love it when there. As we can see in the photos, most of the nipas huts are in triangular roof, those are for love birds only because the bed space is only good for two. There are bigger ones which can accomodate a up to five or more.
