#379 - On the trail going to the blue soil of Sagada.
Good day once again my beloved Hiveans. Yesterday afternoon my son joined us for another walk at the river and he did well. We walked around 7 kilometers of distance along the river and he didn't complain at first but when we were on n our way back he is already informing us that his calf muscles are aching 😅.
I will give him a rest for today but tomorrow afternoon I will ask him to join us once again and we will rent some mountain bikes at the riverbanks which is about a $1 for an hour of ride. We use to do it before when he was little but because of the pandemic, the bike renters had to close down because the public were not allowed to go out for a long time. Thankful that this time, bike rentals are there again blooming in business and there is one which stand out because their bikes are almost brand new and quality which is what we were looking for a long time, we wanted to have value for our money so we can ride safely along the river. I will tell more of it once we are able to ride.
For now let me share some photos of our trek going to the blue soil area in Sagada. We started the trek at around five in the morning and we have to pass first the area of mountainous land which they call Marlboro county then we walk for another hour to reach the area where there are mountain parts that are in blue soil. They call this spot Blue Soil Hills. The area I could estimate vis about a 200 meters by atleast 100 meters and there are a number of people who were with us on this trek. Some have come earlier and some are still trailing behind.
When we arrived at the blue soil hills it was already past eight in the morning and the sun is up and lit. The cold temperature has also dropped rapidly and was replaced by a higher temperature.
Nonetheless, even if it is no longer cold. The air was fresh and it is nice to inhale it relaxing the lungs which have been exposed to the urban pollutants.
Some people says forest bathing gives a positive effects to the body. I think some people have done research about it that it indeed has some great effects to the being of the person spending time in the forest.
That was our guide who is always too fast to walk leaving us behind. We had to catch up to him so we don't get left behind 🤣.
Here are some views of the blue soil when we arrived from the upper area of the mountain. We have to go down there in the further area where there is a plain area for people to take photos. I would love to go back here once more but with our son so he can experience trekking and forest bathing as well. I hope you enjoyed this simple post for today. You all have a good one.😊
