#728 - Batad shots for Friday.
Happy Friday and end of the week to all. It's almost the start of the new year and hopefully everything will go green next year for all of us. My wife and I just arrived home after seven in the evening tonight. It was a tiring day for me because I have been on the road for like nine hours. We left the beach of Liwliwa in Zambales at ten in the morning because we have s stopover in Bataan to visit the Samal mountain where the death march is during the world war two. I will share some of the shots later on below of some of the scenes we got during the last two days we were there in the beach area.
First lets check these scenes that were taken during our two days of stay in Batad. Just look at this magnificent sight we saw right before our very eyes. The harvest was already over, the fields were empty except the rice crops which are decaying and some still up but have already been cut. The view is a sight to behold and up to now my mind is still in amazement seeing this kind of wonder on how the old people of this village managed to build this within hundred pf years by manual labor so they could have a source of rice for their people. Their houses down below mostly are now in metal roof particularly galvanized steel but those nipa huts are still used as their granaries, as storage.
Next shot shows another shot with some weeds blocking the shot but the view is still beautiful. This was taken while we made stop and just observing the view from where we are. The trail we were following has an overflow of water coming from the higher parr of the mountain and the water serves as an irrigation to the crops and also to their animals like pigs.
The lovely wife looking up to the higher part of the mountain which is also the viewing point. Up ahead is one of the deck where visitors can rest and view the beautiful surroundings of the rice terraces.
Another shot of an already harvested rice fields. If you notice and try to zoom in, there's a person in the middle of the frame who is holding on something. I was in the viewpoint when this shot was taken, I just used the zoom function of the camera to get a closer look.
As mentioned earlier here are photos taken in the beach of Liwliwa in Zambales and the other one is at the cross in Mount Samat.
