#742 - Nature shots for Friday.
Greetings dearest Hiveans! It's the weekend here already and thanks to G our mother is finally home. She can finally relax here while undergoing therapy for her mild stroke. Early today also before six we went to another town here in our province so we can visit the place they called Landingan point which is a mountain slope with different varieties of flowering plants. It was about seventy minutes of driving, we took photos of the surroundings and also climb a steps of stones leading to a mountain top then we went down. On our way home we bought several viands to cook, a pig head, liver and some pork meat then also we bought three kilos of cat fish which my mother would love to eat.
For our daily shots let me share photos taken when my wife and I went to Paracelis Mountain province to pick a number of our relatives who were wanting to see our mother last week. So from our house in the province we drive for two hours to get to our relatives place. We passed by a hanging bridge before we get go their village. So my wife and I took the opportunity to get our photos even if the bridge was shaky at times. The bridge is about a hundred meters long leading to the other side of the river where farm land are abundant.
When we arrived at the home of our relatives we went down to their farm where they have a large area covered with corn which are not yet ready for harvest. However, they also have white corns that are some how good for boiling which is what I love the most about white corn especially the lagkitin varieties. My uncle harvested one sack of it and we cooked some at my cousin's house and then we brought home the rest.
On our way to our relatives place we saw a couple of arcs which indicates the border and the start of a new province. The first one shows Alfonso Lisa, Ifugao which is a town that we have to pass to get to Mountain Province. The roads here are concrete and in great shape that's why travelling to their place is fast and easy. Then the last image shows the arc indicating the start of Mountain Province, here farming is the main source of livelihood for most people. More to follow.
