Hi steemians, how has your weekend been?
My weekend has been a rainy one.. I thought I'd post some pictures of our rain.
We have had some time of a drought, about 4 or so months. And as we are on only tank water, the rain is welcomed.
Here is a little trivia on how horses respond to rain.
Horses will come together when the wind and rain has picked up, surprisingly when it is just a lightning or thunder storm before the rain and winds, their normal behaviour dose not change. It is only when there is rain and winds that they will purposely come together.

They normally line up together one behind the other or close by, facing away from the wind and rain (bottoms taking the force of the rain). They will use something to help as a wind block such as a tree.
You will always know which way the wind is coming from, as the horses will keep their bottoms at it. They do this so the rain and wind is not on thier face and ears, so they can smell and hear predators coming up behind them. Because the wind is blowing towards the horses any predator that may be behind them will have their scent blown towards them and warning the horses of the danger. Due to this neat trick they only need to watch out for what is in front of them.
