Good evening, nature fans. Tonight's Daily Nature Fix isn't going to have a very specific theme; it's just going to be a couple of photos from around Yellowstone National Park. These represent landscapes that I photographed on both of our both of our trips there. Lets check out some cool scenery!
^^^This was taken looking across Hayden Valley. You can see a herd of buffalo hanging out on the island and one a bit closer, towards the bottom of the photo... he's surrounded by a ring of bare dirt where they often take dust baths.
^^^This photo was taken while looking across Norris Geyser Basin. I love how blue most of the hot springs in the park are.
^^^Standing on the shores of the Madison River in West Yellowstone. I even did an oil painting from this location. The is right near the western exit of the park, and what a nice note to arrive/leave on!
^^^I was standing on the shore of Yellowstone Lake here. On the other side of the 136-square mile body of water, there was a prescribed burn going on and you can see the towering smoke plume on the left side of the photo.
^^^This is in the north of the park and is a view of surrounding mountains with parks of the Mammoth Hot Spring in the foreground.
^^^Here's my favorite of this bunch. We were on an overlook, viewing the Yellowstone River. I've never experienced the feeling of being inside a postcard as I had at this location. It was surreal.
