The hike to that waterfall has always been one of my favorites, because one of the pathways that leads to it goes the whole time near a river in an amazing deciduous forest. It takes less than a couple of hours if you are a fast hiker and the sound of the water and the fresh humid air can do miracles. It is perfect for rainy days because it is short, the forest protects you a little bit from the rain and the waterfall is even more beautiful.
It is a popular place for hiking, but if it rains, no one goes there usually. That time though, I met several people and even had a colorful model to make the photos even better :).
As I've mentioned in some other posts, we have a pretty rainy summer here in Bulgaria, and I've never seen the waterfall so large in the middle of the summer.
All around the waterfall there are equipped routes for sport climbing and it is great also for ice climbing in the winter. I've never tried them, but it look like a great place for climbing.
Thank you for stopping by!
