Not far from Tahoe lake and Truckee town is that cool hike named Mount Judah loop trail. It is a 5 miles hike starting from the ski resort Sugar bowl and continue on the hills and through the forest with a bit of elevation.
The beginning can be a bit rough as the trails is made of rocks and a bit steep but then it goes back to a dirt trail with gentle elevation.the highest point of the hike is taking you at 8200 ft with a really cool view of Donner lake!
