I always remember the skylark from been a kids. We would walk through the fields and see this birds way up in the sky singing. A sight that I've never forgotten. They would always hover over their nest site. You had to be really careful walking as the nest are very well camouflaged and easy to stand on as the skylark nest on the ground.
You'll find these birds around the coastal fields in meadows and on golf courses
