One of the most beautiful birds of the riverbanks and lakes the Swans. The Mute Swan and the Whooper Swan are the graceful sights on the rivers and lakes.
The swan normally pair up for life and can be seen year after year nesting in the same spot often using the same nest sight. The lay large white eggs that they guard very well. These birds will attack anything that approaches its nest. They are known to break peoples arms with their powerful wings.
A sight i love to see are the signets on the mothers back keeping safe and slowly gliding along . I remember as a child going to the local park to feed the ducks and swans every Sunday with my dad.
