Hey dear Steemians and fellow nature lovers! 🌱🙂
I really love hiking! I feel so connected to nature and if I am out in the forests, I feel so calm, happy, peaceful and full of love and this mysterious feeling that leaves in an awe. But there is one thing that makes me sad everytime: Trash! Everywhere!
The way some human beings treat mother earth is so disrespectful. And as nature is my best friend, I decided one day that I will do anything to care about my friend and do what ever I can, to make it happy and healthy again. So when my husband and me go for a hike, walk or meditation in nature, we carry a trash bag with us and pick up all the trash we can find to show some love and appreciation to our loved forests.
Some say it's a drop in the ocean and it's not even worth the effort. Some people look at us like we are total weirdos. But to be honest - We don't care! To us, it is not a drop in the ocean. To us it is our way to do the best we can to help nature. And with every bit of trash we remove from nature and every animal we save from being hurt, we feel so happy and thankful. We don't do this for praise, we do this for the love we feel for our planet!
Another great point is: There are also a lot of amazing people starting to ask what we are doing and sometimes even joining us! Two days ago I went out on a walk in the coastal forest again and I met wonderful people who told me they got really inspired by me to do the same in future! So how is this a drop in the ocean?
And even if it was - I will never stop doing so! I won't be able to save the whole world. But I will be able to make the world a bit better by doing the best I can, heal mother earth and inspire people to join me. So with every drop, we start growing stronger until we become the ocean!
If people say it's not wort the effort, I always ask them if they wouldn't do anything for their friends and family to feel good. And when they say yes, I tell them: "Well, I consider mother earth to be my friend and its inhabitants to be my family!" I love how quiet and thoughtful some of them become!
So today I just wanted to show you one of my favourite hobbies and maybe even inspire you to join me in the future! Let's become an ocean of good vibes and healing for our beloved nature! Together we can achieve so much more! 🙂
And isn't this pure beauty worth any effort?
You think it is? Great! So follow me around my last walk! 🙂
I always take a trash bag and put it inside a cloth bag. This way it won't get damaged when I stroll through the forest and touch the bag with some branches which might tear holes into it. I don't want to lose and spread the stuff again, right?
