As the spring arrives in the Netherlands. It also brings the cadavers of hundreds of starved animals with it. unfortunately, sometimes wild animals starve for the lack of food.
But here's the kicker:
- These aren't wild animals
- These animals didn't migrate to this place.
- They have been brought here by people. To live the rest of their days in a tiny grassland. A meadow far too small to sustain this number of animals.
- The government put a big fence around the place. Making migration impossible.
As the policy of the Dutch government is to let them all starve to death, and call it 'wildlife managment'*
none of these animals died from predator behaviour ,
or from disease or from old age.
These all died because the Dutch government put these horses in a small meadow. Proceeds to build a big fence around it.
