Today me and my sister planned to go hiking before she leaves tomorrow. If you wanna ask me how the weather was today, well, it's kind of complicated. After having heavy rain in Vancouver yesterday, we guess probably today would be a sunny day. We guess right but sorry it's not applied to North Vancouver.
After enough sleep, my sister woke up at 11am due to jetlag. (I know this feeling so well!) and finally we left home off to North Vancouver. We was planning to take bus but saved our time and energy as he was giving us a drive from home to there. So sweet of him! Once he dropped us off at Deep Cove, hail dropped crazily and so we had to stay in a pizza shop and killed one pizza :D Anyway my sister is a pizza lover so she doesn't mind at all!
We were lucky that rain stopped after on hour. So let's start the hike right away before it rained again. Quarry Rock hike actually is an quite easy trail for beginners. The paths are easy to walk and the instructions are pretty clear.
This is the half way of the hike! And my sister could handle it well and easily! I love how the paths are designed and you don't actually feel too tired walking on the rocks and wet soils. Those wooden bridges or roads are very handy!
I thought it took us 30 minutes to go to the end of Quarry Rock trail (The whole trail is quite long though. It's just half way of the complete trail.) Finally the sun came back to us! Clear blue sky and bright sunshine made us feel awesome and great! If we can come again in summer, that would be 10 times better:)
I hope my sister enjoyed those few days with us and have great memory of Vancouver. Hope she has nice flight back to Hong Kong and enjoy the rest of her holiday in HK too:)
Thanks for reading my post. Hope you like it and also like Vancouver more!
Cheers,
Gladys
Seriously love this photography my sister took for me. It proved that I was taking this thing seriously haha!
