The fall season has started and with it usually come some storms. Yesterday we got hit with a storm named Aila. Started from northern Norway and Sweden. The storm center moved straight over Finland and missed Estonia which brought us some crazy winds. The wind was the strongest on the islands, western and northwest Estonia where I am living. Windspeeds reaching as fast on the coast as 32 m/s.
Of course, we had tens of thousands of electricity failures all over the country and countless trees fell down. One tree fell even next to my home. Heard about some pretty bad accident on the road where a falling tree fell right on the cabin of 12 wheeler. Fortunately, a driver survived but is in the hospital.
As it happens I am a fan of storms and severe weather. Obviously I was out and documenting this crazy weather yesterday. I decided to capture video clips instead of photographs this time. After I mixed them all together and got a 5 min video. Clips are captured near my home and at the seaside in different places.
In the middle of a video, there is also a clip where I got soaked hard by a wave as well my camera but it's not made of sugar and it survived 😅.
In the last clip, there is a tree that fell next to my home which also broke a light pole in half lol.
Enjoy!
