A quiet Saturday evening.
I was ready for a relaxing evening this Saturday after our hike earlier in the mountains above Narvik city. (https://steemit.com/actifit/@harkar/actifit-harkar-20181110t174750729z)
After a hot shower, a tender biff, and ready for a glass red wine and a movie, a clearly "pling" sounded from my phone. Yes a vote....? Oh no, it was my app, "Aurora forecast" with the message: "The KP-index is now 3 and good possibilities to watch the Northern light". I went outside looked at the sky, hmm much clouds, no worries. Back to my relaxing position and ready for the glass of wine. But hey, I could miss a good opportunity to take pictures. What if the sky would be in fire with a great Aurora show, I would miss it because i was lazy. Furthermore there was not so much clouds... The weather forecast the upcoming week was (and still are) rain! No, up your lazy boy, pack your stuff and jump into warm clothes. You can't lose a great show. Nero was happy, jumped in the car and off we go to the beach. Yesss it was a little green on the sky, it haven't begun yet. I quickly set up the camera on the tripod, adjusted shutter, iso and aperture. Now I only had to wait for the show. So I did, waited...look at the stars..... waited... listened to the silence... and waited. After 2 hours, no show, just a little green light as you can see on the pictures. At least I did not miss an opportunity, and I actually got a relaxing time on a rock at the beach. And guess what, the wine tasted good when I was home again.
Have a great evening.
Best regards
