Spring has been bit late this year here in Finland, at least compared to last year. It's not so many days that it was snowing even here in southwest Finland.
Then came certain kind of wind and lot of migration birds arrived here. it was quite bad weather for them couple of days, put then it has improves fast. In night it might still to 0 C or just under that, but during day it is +10 or even +15 if sun is shining nicely. So one could say that old folk legend or story was right again, when wagtails arrive summer is close, and when swallow/martin arrives it is summer.
On next week they have made a forecast that cold would make a comeback, we have to wait and see...
The old story goes pretty much like this (my own translation).
It's a full moon to summer when skylark arrives.
Half moon out of finch.
Only a few days out of wagtail.
Not even one day when swallow/martin arrives.
