Memories of birthday parties, summer cookouts, Easter lunches and Sunday dinners engulf this picnic table. Located in the shade of tall oak trees behind my grandparents home, it was the centerpiece for many occasions as a child. The ivy growing thick beneath the table and the moss grabbing heavily at the dated boards create a feeling of life in the otherwise lifeless table.
