Good evening and morning to each and everyone who is steeming today! It is a beautiful evening here in the Philippines, I just had my supper and I feel like it is a good time to do my research now and write my blog.
One of the plant characteristics I was looking and obsessing nowadays are those flowering plants with small leaves, those plants that has leaves not larger than their flowers. I also need some flowering plants that loves the shade but for now, I am going to share something about the Zinnia plant that is on my list to plant next time.
These flower is one of the easiest annuals to grow. They grow quickly and bloom heavily creating a blast of color in your garden. This species of short variety will do good in borders or containers and they absolutely will make a good cut flowers in your table too. They like full sun and that is one of the most important requirement in growing them.
When it comes to soil, they are very adaptable but prefer fertile soil and well-drained one. They should be planted six feet apart from each other when on ground and when planting them through seeds, they should be sowed under the brightest area. They generally take a week to sprout and 60 days to flower. One of the things to take note also is to deadhead the prolonged flowering and maintain its soil moisture. I am sure Zinnias will make my garden more colorful soon.
I hope this post would be of help just in case you want to grow some Zinnias and please don't forget to UPVOTE this post and FOLLOW me for more updates soon. Thanks for reading and HAVE A GREAT DAY!
