A shy deer coming out to greet me in the middle of winter.
These guys live in the nearby forest preserve that we have but unfortunately during the winter months it’s harder to scavenge for food so they start to get closer to humans.
There are people who drive up and throw bread and other pieces of food - however this is not allowed for various reasons.
Still, people want to help the deer and come out each and every year.
I thought this little one was adorable trying to hide behind the tree as if I didn’t see him there. It’s what makes photography so beautiful and funny sometimes.
