Not such a hard place

Thanks to Hive account@nikv I now have a name for this grassland and montane flowering bulb.

Crocosmia, closest I could get was the iris family.

These are doing much better in a more favorable location.

Still lots of rocks but a lot more soil.

And the flowers up close are stunning.
